Maintenance Required Light Honda
Gary Yeomans Honda – Whether you need to check your maintenance required light or just want to keep your car running smoothly, don’t hesitate to book an appointment with your preferred Honda dealer.

The Honda maintenance required light lets drivers know that an oil change is due. Read on to learn more about the Honda Maintenance Minder system. No one likes it when a new light starts blinking on their dashboard, but these alerts don’t have to spell disaster. Below, we explain why the maintenance required light on your Honda may be on and detail the best ways to resolve the issue.

What Does The Maintenance Required Light Mean?

Your Honda’s maintenance required light is part of the Honda Maintenance Minder system. Usually, a wrench light icon will appear on your dashboard with a message letting you know a service is due.

This system is designed to make driving your Honda more user-friendly. You no longer need to keep up with when you’re due for an oil change or monitor how many miles it has been since your last service. Instead, the inbuilt system monitors how your car is being used and lets you know when maintenance is needed.

The system was introduced in 2006-2007 in the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda Ridgeline, Honda Pilot, Honda CR-V, and Honda Fit models. However, it is now standard across all modern Honda vehicles.

2020-Honda-CR-V Engine Oxygen sensors are relatively inexpensive and changing them regularly can help prevent more costly problems. They check the ratio of air and gasoline in your vehicle’s engine so its computer can adjust it, if needed. The amount of oxygen in an engine depends on the surrounding air temperature, the altitude, the barometric pressure, the engine temperature, the load on the engine, and more. Too much fuel left over after combustion is called a rich mixture. A lean mixture without enough fuel produces more pollutants with nitrogen oxide. Here are some of the most common signs that your oxygen sensor is bad.

Tips to Save on Parking in Daytona Beach, FLParking fees can really add up, especially in Daytona. Rather than squander your precious wages on parking fees, here are a few tips to help curb those costs and keep more money in your pocket.

Economy Lots

If you’re traveling and need to park your car in an airport lot, consider the economy lot. Economy lots are long-term parking solutions that are located farther away than full-priced garages. You’ll need to take a shuttle bus to the terminal, but you’ll spend a fraction of the cost of that covered garage.

You can also find private companies off-site that charge less to park your car than airport lots. Sporting venues, theaters, and other locations might offer a good spot as long as they offer long-term parking rates. Just be sure to do your research before your flight so you can plan ahead.

Maximize Your Car's Horsepower in Daytona Beach, FLYou wanted a car that roars every once in a while, a car that you can really feel when you push on that gas pedal. That kind of power comes from horsepower, but standard vehicle design often doesn’t allow the car to reach its full potential for horsepower. Granted, many vehicles have more horsepower than they necessarily need (since horsepower is really just the power required to move your vehicle and lightweight materials keep making cars easier to move), but who wouldn’t like their car to have a little more pep to its step?

The key to maximizing your vehicle’s horsepower is to find ways to move greater volumes of air in and out of your engine, but that’s not the only way. Here are a few ways to get that power you’ve always wanted.

Make Your Car Lighter

Ever feel like when you take a jog, that extra weight really bogs you down compared to your younger years? Your vehicle feels the same way. The more weight on the vehicle, the more difficult it is to maximize its power. Making your vehicle lighter is potentially the easiest and cheapest way to maximize horsepower. After all, it can start with simply removing extra junk from your trunk and replacing your steel wheels with a more lightweight option and high-performance tires.

If you’re looking to invest a little more and really take it all the way, you can remove your backseats (which can sometimes weigh hundreds of pounds) and replace the manufacturer’s body panels with carbon fiber or fiberglass panels. Every pound that you remove counts toward maximizing horsepower.

Space Coast Trip from Daytona Beach, FLIt’s been a long school year and it’s time to get away for a while. Plus, we all deserve a break from work. There’s plenty you could do, but what better way to bond with family and friends than with a road trip? Fortunately, you don’t have to spend the gas and money to drive across the country, because there’s plenty to see here in our own backyard.

For example, you just can’t beat a trip down the Space Coast, a beautiful strip of land that stretches from Canaveral National Seashore to Sebastian Inlet State Park. Here are a few places to plan to visit along your route.

Canaveral National Seashore

Want to start your trip by taking a few hours to just relax? Driving, especially with some passengers, can be stressful, so it may help to unwind before starting your trip. The Canaveral National Seashore is made up of 24 miles of completely undeveloped beaches, and all year you can come to fish, boat, and surf. Don’t feel quite like spending much time on the beach? Check out some of the Seashore’s hiking trails. Nothing like a good hike to tire kids out for the next long stretch of your drive.

Keep in mind the Canaveral National Seashore could be closed due to rocket launches from the nearby NASA Shuttle Launching Facility. Be sure to double check their operating hours.

2017 Honda Civic Si in Daytona Beach, FLThe Honda Civic has been a longtime favorite for drivers looking for an affordable but reliable ride. It’s not uncommon to drive by several generations of Civics just on your way to the store. Honda simply knows how to build them to stick around and continue to satisfy customers. A recent overhaul of the Civic brought this favorite into the modern decade with a more angular and aggressive design. This month, we’ll be introduced to the next generation of the Honda Civic Si, a sportier version of the standard Civic model. Here’s your first look at the new Honda Civic Si.

Performance

There’s nothing wrong with the performance of the standard Honda Civic, but the Si is built for those looking for a more aggressive engine and sharper response; for those looking for a ride that more closely resembles a sports car. How does the Si do this? By giving drivers a 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. This is the first Civic with turbo, and Honda’s doing it right. This engine delivers an impressive 205 horsepower and generates 192 pounds per foot of torque.

Speed and power aren’t the only things that the Civic offers. A Limited Slip Differential gives the driver better control and ensures safer, tighter cornering. An Adaptive Damper System also controls the suspension action in order to deliver more secure handling and greater stability. Roaring down the road in the Si, shifting with the six-speed manual transmission, will definitely make you feel like you’re behind the wheel of a sports car.
